Safety

Our number one priority is to make sure all of our members are Scouting in a safe and wholesome manner. We have national guidelines that we follow vigorously at a local level.  We have a mandatory Youth Protection Training that is required for all adults who are registered in the program.  If you want to know more about our commitment to safety check out the Scouting safely section on the national website.

Delivering the Promise

The program itself is essential to our aims and methods.  We have several ways in which we accomplish our mission.  Our program offerings are grade based and we over age specific program to youth.  The program especially now is a mix of outdoor adventure, peer leadership, activities, civic service, and virtual program.  The program is mostly delivered by dedicated volunteers in your local unit but it can also be delivered by our summer camp staff, our program support specialist, and national services.  To check out full menu of our programs that are offered got to Programs page on the national site.

Den Adventures

Cub Scouts earn adventures that are specific to their grade and rank.  A number of adventures must be completed to earn the badge of rank for each grade level. Adventures may be earned in any order.  Completion of adventures is how the aims of character, citizenship, leadership, and personal fitness are developed.  We are lucky to have some volunteers for each rank who already filmed and recorded some den adventures.  Click the den adventure that corresponds with your Scout’s grade and have him or her earn their first badge right away.
