Cub Scout Camping

Day Camp 2021

Day Camp is a great way for your Cub Scout age son or daughter to experience the thrill of the outdoors and is a good introduction to independence from mom and dad without being too far from home. The week-long program fills each day with adventure and experiences for which families join the Scouting program. Activities include archery, BB, swimming, crafts, nature, STEM, and much more. All Day Camps offer extended hours for families whose schedule does not fit the 9am-4pm time frame. In 2021 our theme is Adventures Through time.  Each week will have a different theme so you can come multiple weeks and get a different experience every week.

Cub Sleep Away Camping

Whether you are an avid camper or have never slept a night out in a tent, Cub Sleep Away Camp is the perfect opportunity to enjoy camp.  This program is designed for Packs or Dens to camp together and bring their own leadership.

We offer 12 mini week sessions throughout the summer, a mini-session is just the right amount of time for a FUN introduction to the outdoors for our Cub Scout Campers.  If you are a little more experienced and would like to camp an entire week,  you can sign up for a second mini-week and we will give you a second session discount!

While at Cub Sleep Away Camp, our dining halls will be in full swing and will provide all your meal, and great songs and camp spirit.  Cubs will enjoy swimming, fishing, BB, archery, nature, fun games, and much more.

The Connecticut Rivers Council makes an effort to see that all Scouts have the chance to benefit from the programs offered at our three Camps. Should a Scout’s family be in a financial situation where assistance is needed, they may apply for a campership. Please know that camperships do not cover the full cost of registration, and are subject to approval by the Campership Committee.

Every few years, the BSA updates its Annual Health and Medical Record after consulting with health care professionals, Scout executives, council and camp health officers and other experts to ensure it is up-to-date and helpful.

This was one of those years, meaning a new form is available for everyone to use for 2020. Your AHMR is valid through the end of the 12th month after the date it was administered by your medical provider. For example, if you got your physical on Nov. 3, 2019, it’s valid until Nov. 30, 2020.

Next year will be a transition year, so you can use either the old or new form, but everyone in all Scouting programs must use the updated AHMR form starting Jan. 1, 2021. The old form will be obsolete at that date. So, the BSA recommends using the new form on your next physical exam or if you’re a new participant in 2020.

The state of Connecticut requires additional paperwork that we named part D.  The complete form for Connecticut Camps can be downloaded by clicking the button below.
