Connecticut Rivers Council presents the third annual Vale La Pena Breakfast 7:30 am on Friday, October 15th at the Country Club of Waterbury (1 Oronoke Rd, Waterbury, CT). ¡Scouting…Vale La Pena! Service Award is a National Boy Scouts of America award presented to an honoree that has made a significant contribution to their community, acted as an advocate for Hispanic/Latino youth, and encouraged outreach to improve their every day lives. Maria Gonzalez will be the 2021 Vale La Pena Service Award recipient! The following honorees will also be receiving awards: Ric Hunter (Waterbury Scoutreach) Good Scout Award & Bill Meo (Scout Master of Troop 3 Waterbury, retired) Good Scout Award. An Outstanding Leadership Award and Elbert K. Fretwell Outstanding Educator Awards will be announced soon.
